Around Town

Davenport posts its fall calendar

Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 31 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, the Central Florida Heroes 5K November 7, and the Christmas Tree Lighting December 2 at Tom Fellows. Details.

Services

Watering restrictions extended through March 2027

Polk County's one-day-per-week watering schedule now runs through March 2027 after the water management district extended its shortage order. Davenport's rule is also one day a week, before 6 AM or after 6 PM. Details.

Amenities

The amenity area is open again — key card required

The amenity area has reopened — access now requires a resident key card. For key-card requests, rules, and hours, see the official district site: charlescovecdd.com.

CDD

CDD posts its new meeting schedule — next board meeting November 18

The district published its FY2026-2027 schedule: November 18, February 17, May 19 and August 18, all 2:30 PM at the Ramada Inn on US-27. Details.

Trunk-or-Treat Oct 24 from 9:00 to 11:30 AM at Lake Eva Park and the Veterans Day ceremony Nov 11: all on our community calendar.
